For those of you lucky enough to get tickets – CatchCon 2011 is this Saturday, April 9th. If you want to meet other folks going, check out the Deadliest Catch Group – CatchCon 2011. However, if you can’t make it, you can still check it out! The entire event will be webcast from 12:30 pm to 6 pm PDT.
The event takes place in Seattle at the Bell Harbor Conference Center, which is right on the water. I expect all of the Captains and most of the crews to be there. The only exception I can think of is actually our King Crab Captain, Derrick Ray. I ‘m sure a couple of the boats will be tied up outside as well. Last year, The FV Northwestern and the FV Wizard were there and available for tours. There are fun and lively Q & A sessions, autograph sessions, games and a sneak peak video preview of the season. I hope to meet a lot of our supporters there wearing CM gear. Please say “Hi” if you see me and I’ll do the same.

Is Deadliest Catch ever coming back on the air again? I loved that show and was saddened when Capt Phil died, but is the show ever coming back, does anyone know?

We are getting ready to leave for the airport. We are coming from the Birth-place of the F/V CM…. I hope my hubby and I will get a chance to meet and also meet with the boys….!

Dear Deadlest catch crew, I can’t Waite for tuesday April 12 to roll around. I don’t think I ever missed a episode yet . I’m really going to miss Captain Phil Harris . I’m sure glad the boys decided to carry on his legacy . Tell captain Keith to settle down and take a pill. Same goes to captain Bill. Life is to short to work for a crabby captain. You guys are the best ! There isn’t alot of guys out there could do the great job that you guys do. My wife and I are looking forward to season 7. We have been watching 1-6 on Netflix and cant wait. It’s like Xmas for us. Being that we are in Everett, so close to Capt. Phil ( He waved at my wife at Costco in Everett ) and we will miss him for sure.
I break down pretty quick thinking of how much Phil meant to everyone and how bad he will be missed by us all.
Josh and Jake, kick ass and don’t look back, within reason

With just 3 days left until the new season, I Can’t wait! I have always loved this series!
I am so excited to see Josh and Jake, though I don’t know them personally or their late father, I was deeply moved by his tragic death.
Phil Harris was an amazing man who showed great love and affection towards his two sons. How comforting to know how much he cared for his boys and to know he will always be watching over them no matter where they are.
Just watching Josh and Jake on this series shows what a great father and mentor they had. These two men are remarkable and how proud their father Phil Harris must be of them.
You guys stay safe out there! And I really look forward to seeing the Cornelia Marie in a few days!
Rita it’s bad luck to rename a boat Have a great season an dont go swimming too often as a sea pearson you have to have a laugh every day being cramped up but the smell of the sea crabs an just the smell of the boat keeps you going back for more

I guess spelling isn’t a requirement but I’m going to use spell check anyway! I came across these boys many years ago before it was Deadliest Catch and I have been lucky enough to talk to several people who I would like to thank for taking the time to talk to me: Capt.Jon F/V Time Bandit, Norm Hansen F/V Northwestern (he is a wonderful photographer)and then I am so very grateful to have MET Capt. Phil Harris F/V Cornelia Marie along with Jake and Josh Harris in August 2009. I cherish my autograhed pictures that Phil laughed at me for, cuz he didn’t believe me when I said ‘I’ll be back to have my photo’s of you guys signed!’ So I ran ( literally) thru parking lots and across the street, had them developed and waited in line again to have them sighned too. He recognized me the second time and said “what the..how did you get them done so fast, I didn’t think you were serious!?” I can still hear him and the boys laughing and joking (although the boys were looking for the young babes) they were very patient with all us 40 yr olds! I will miss him forever and hope for the chance to meet the rest of the captains and crews from the other F/V!

BUT I WILL SAY IT WAS VERY VERY MUCH WORTH ALL WE WENT THRU TO GET THERE. Does anyone know if there will be CatchCon gear available for sale post CatchCon? I bought a sweatshirt there and my husband and I are fighting over it so I want to buy another one! I know there was a lot of gear left at the end of the day.

I absolutely LOVE the Deadliest Catch! I watch it religiously every week with my husband! I couldn’t help but notice the last two weeks the captains have been talking about Zig Zagging?! First off, Rest in Peace Captain Phil. My prayers go out to your family and many, many friends and fans. CatchCon was great. Of all the “reality” shows flooding the TV stations these days, Deadliest Catch is far and away one of the very best. Also one of the original one, if I recall correctly. Who would have thought that a show about Alaskan fishermen would grow to be the institution it has become with fans all over the world.
You can certainly see your skills within the work you write. The arena hopes for more passionate writers such as you who are not afraid to mention how they believe. Always go after your heart.
