Capt. Phil is in the hospital, medivacked from St. Paul
Captain Phil Harris suffered a stroke yesterday at St. Paul Island in Alaska. He was medivacked to Anchorage and is currently at a hospital receiving treatment.
I didn’t say anything earlier, so family can learn from us instead of through the internet. I know anybody who is reading this also cares about Phil, so we thought you should know as well.
Phil is at a good hospital and receiving the best care possible. My mother, Cornelia Marie Devlin and Jake Harris are with him at the hospital. The boat is in the harbor now, but needs to be able to leave in case the ice shifts and moves in.
He was immediately taken to the clinic in St. Paul – the same place he was treated when he had a blood clot two years ago.
As soon as we receive more information about Phil, we will pass it on to you.

“CatchCon” in Seattle Sold Out!
Discovery Channel wants to say thank you to all of its “Deadliest Catch” fans with “CatchCon”. This one-day FREE fan festival scheduled for Saturday April 25th noon-6:00pm in Seattle is sold out!
The event will bring together all the Captains, including the Cornelia Marie’s Captain Phil, crew members and production staff. Get autographs, a behind-the-scenes look at how your favorite show is made and tons more.
I heard this a waiting list and some folks on that list have been contacted and are now going. You can try to register at Discovery Channel and keep checking with us here at corneliamarie.com for updates.

Captain Phil on Larry King Live
F/V Cornelia Marie’s Captain Phil and his boys are making a special appearance on "Larry King Live". Phil, Jake and Josh will sit down the "King of Television" for some one on one time. You can catch the whole interview April 10th at 6:00 pm eastern. Please check your local listings.

New items in CM Store
After many blogs about Phil’s health, I thought I would give the Captain a break. So, we have new items in the store! Check them out and let me know what you think. A Hero’s Journey
I came across a well written blog about the Deadliest catch I would like to share with you. The author of the blog only goes by the initial “b”, but is obviously a good writer. You can view her blog about the Deadliest Catch here. http://accordingtobreal.blogspot.com/
One of the most interesting aspects of the show to me is the fact that the show appeals to such a wide group of people. According to our web stats, we have been visited by more than 48 countries and every state in the union. I hear from every person you can imagine; from U.S. soldiers fighting in IRAQ to young girls wanting to know more about Jake and Josh. However, there does seem to be something everyone has in common. Respectfully, honest, hardworking – good people.
