F/V Cornelia Marie in Dutch Harbor

The F/V Cornelia Marie has arrived in Dutch Harbor and now begins preparation for the October 15th King Crab opening.  The boat is in great shape after receiving weeks of maintenance and repair in Ketchikan’s dry dock.  The weather was excellent as the Cornelia Marie sailed from Ketchikan to its home port of Kodiak, then onto Dutch Harbor.

The next couple weeks will be busy as the crew loads on crab pots and the Discovery Channel’s video crew once again prepares for another Bering Sea winter.

T-T so you’re gonna be fishing soon. Sad.

When you’re gone, the pieces of my heart are missing you. When you’re gone, the face I came to know is missing too. And when you’re gone the words I need to hear to always get me through the day, and make it okay. I miss you.

That is so great to hear. I know it will be next Spring before we can see any of this, but knowing that the season is about to kick will make the winter go by faster. The only think I would like to know is…….is Captain Phil going to be with her? I keep checking to see if there is any new update to his condition. Oh please….please. Captain Phil is my favorite captain and the Cornelia Marie is my favoriet fishing vessel. I would still continue to watch if he wasn’t on board…but would be missing him madly. Hope he can return. Good Luck.

Hi Cornelia, All dressed up in new spiffy paint and with “Bad Girl” all repaired and ready to go. I am so happy that you will be there Phil. I think she missed you during the opelio season last year.

And yes, our captain is flying up to Dutch Harbor today October 6. This is from his moderator Bonnie. And as you know, I dont think he would be flying up to Dutch just to wish his crew Bon Voyage!!! I am so thrilled. Phil, you and the crew have good fishing and come home safe and sound. My prayers will be with you this season and all the ones to come.

This is the best news since I captured the Deadliest Catch summer marathons. This house is truely excited to see the family on camera again. I truely hope that we will receive tv shows of the start up very soon. Like this Tuesday, perhaps asking to much but I’m willing to hope. If someone would post the new start date I would greatly appreciate it.

Ahoy there. Hope everyone is pulling full pots and staying safe. Jake, stop goofing off and get to work! Don’t get your dad’s BP up.
Phil hope you’re back in your chair and doing well. It’s where you belong. For once listen to Josh when he starts getting in your face about pushing too hard. He’s speaking for not just himself and the crew but a lot of us in TV land as well. A lot of people care about you and want you around for a while longer. A LOT longer.

Captain Phil, I am so glad that you will be fishing this season. Neither the show or the boat would be the same without you. The guys need you just as much as you need them and fishing. Please keep safe and have a wicked good season. Jake and Josh keep an eye on your father. Can’t wait until the season get on t.v. It’s not the same when I can’t watch the show three or four times a week. I was having the DT’s because the show wasn’t on during the summer and fall so I went out and bought seasons 1-3.
    Good Luck and God Bless
