Capt. Phil to appear on “Profiles”

In you live in the Seattle area, be sure to watch “Profiles” on Saturday, October 11th on Channel 7 KIRO TV at 10 pm.  If you don’t live in Seattle, then check back with kirotv.com for the video.

Even in this era of reality television, with its unabashed look at the lives of its true-to-life characters and their triumphs and conflicts, no one could have predicted the immense popularity of a show that centers around the life of a group of crab fishermen. Certainly not Seattle’s Phil Harris, captain of the crab boat Cornelia Maria and one of the stars of Discovery Channel’s top-rated series, Deadliest Catch. Harris tells KIRO 7 Eyewitness News anchor Steve Raible, “I’m a crab fisherman, not a celebrity. This show was supposed to be for the middle of the night and it just took off.”

I will be watching you Saturday on “Profiles” on KIRO TV. I love you and the Cornelia Marie crew, and wish you all the best this season of crabbing has to offer. Hope you are healthy enough to be joining your crew on the Bering Sea, but if not, my thoughts are with you. Keep chewing your gum and wish you would quit smoking ( how is it possible to chew gum in such a sexy way as you do???) . Met you in August ( in Poulsbo ) when you were promoting your coffee, and you are as sweet as a man can get! ( love your coffee too). My best to all of the Bering Sea fisherman, safe journeys, and keep bringing us those yummy crab. Peace…….Chery

Great video!! You look very healthy and I hope that right now you’re on the CM on your way to the crab grounds. Here in the Netherlands season 4 started yesterday, and seeing you look this good is gonna make watching the episode in which you get sick a little easier. I wish you and your crew a safe journey and full pots. Stay safe and lots of love from the Netherlands…Karin

We have just finished watching the season over here in Scotland tonight and we hope Phil is doing better, we were very concerned about you whilst watching and wish Phil a speedy recovery. It was so nice to see the respect all the crew and Phil’s son’s had for him. Good Luck to you all for the future.

Wishing you safe journeys and the season you are hoping for this year. Glad that your health is much better and you will be out there this year. I think it gave many people who watch you a fright. People really connect with you. It is such an amazing phenomenon that Deadliest Catch has become such a hit…but well deserved by all of the fishermen. You guys are a hardy bunch and I always look forward to the summer to see what your previous season has been like. Godspeed!

Absolutely love The Deadliest Catch. My husband and I don’t miss an episode. We were really concerned for Phil this season. So glad he is o.k. Was gutted to hear it may be the end of his fishing career, hope Josh decides to stay and carry on the Harris family on the Bering Sea. Good luck to you all and all the other crews we seem to have got to know over the years.

    Hi Phil and crew..
WOW Phil, you get our blodpressure up here in Denmark, when we follow “Deadliest Catch”, and watch how you fight against the pain..
As soon as the series end for today, i hurry in to see, if you were okay Phil. You are really a though guy, but i was really afraid to look here, when i realize, that the injure wasent happend on the boat.
Now i´m happy to see, that you are okay. What a chock it was.
When we look at the serie, we feel with you all – humor, feelings, the funny things, and the troubles..

Hope you all get a heck of a season, with crabs in tons..

Greetings and good luck to you and your crew, and to all the “crab-boats”

Hey Phil, got to finally meet you in Dutch. I was on a tour with Eric from the Crabbroker (Oct 24th-26th 08)and he was nice enough to introduce us. I must say you are handling it pretty well having to stay in Dutch while Murray tries to mentor your two sons. It has to hurt to not be out doing what you love. Anyway I talked with you in the bar about your condition and had told you that Organic Black Cherry Juice was a natural alternative to dissolving blood clots. It naturally widens arteries and lowers blood pressure. Give it a try it won’t kill you. If your ever in Chicago my company(retail/grocery) would love to put you up. Thanks Dan
