My heart goes out to Josh and Jake and all the family and friends of Captain Phil. I have watched Deadliest Catch from the very beginning and feel like I just lost a good friend. His love and devotion to you boys was clearly evident and his dedication to his crew unsurpassed. I wish I could take the grief and pain away from you all; just know that you are not alone. All of us fans will keep you in our hearts and prayers. Know that when you once again set sail on the Cornelia Marie, your
dad will be there in spirit, watching over you. And I have no doubt that he will make his presence known to you in some way.

Capt Phil will be missed. I appreciated his concern for his crew and his tremendous knowledge as Captain. If I ever was on one of those ships I would have felt a lot safer on his boat. Not saying I would ever do it. I also thought his love for his boys and vice versa was so evident and nice to see. I also appreciated his tough love. We will miss him for sure and to his boys having lost both my dad and mom his memory and things he taught you will always be with you. Remember I believe we will see him again in the hope that Christ gives us all. You are in my prayers Jake and Josh.

My deepest condolences to jake, jose and family. I have been watching “Deadlist Catch” since day one. And am a hugh fan. I am very sad of our fathers passing. He is in a good place and not suffering he is with God. He will be guiding you from above. I thought he would pull thru after his ordeal with the blood clot. I knew he was strong. Be strong and remember all the good times you had with him.
Sincerely

Rest your oars Capt Phil Harris
“They that go down to the sea in ships, doing business in the great waters:”
I must down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.
I must down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
I must down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

To say Captian Phil will be missed is indeed an understatement. Having never met the man, I cryed openly at hearing of his passing. I allowed these brave men into my home, via television, and over the years formed what felt to me like a friendship. God Bless Captian Phil Harris,May he bring comfort to Capt phil’s family and crew.

You now are the only proof your father Phil ever walked the face of this earth. You know better than anyone else what your father wanted for you. Follow your dream and make him and yourself proud. What can I say in a small box about a man who will be missed; well I am very certain Captain Phil was so much more than the awesome leader he was on the show. I know to Josh and Jake he was their light in the dark, now it is about keeping the light burning. Not to replace, but to uphold the foundation. Not to move on, but to keep on keeping on. Take care Cornelia Marie Family. Godbless.

Jake and Josh, from what we saw on TV it looks like Capt. Phil did his job as a father. He loved you, cared for you and taught you how to make it in life without him after he was gone. I’m sure you’ll make him proud. I just hope I’ve done that well by my kids.
My condolences, I know you will miss hime.

I just wanted to say how saddened I was to hear about the “Old Mans” passing. My prayers are out there for all his many family and friends. Capt Phil showed us land lubbers how tough your buisness is but he also showed how you are all one big family in the fleets. Capt.Phil is in Valhalla now drinking his Duck Farts to his boys. Salut to you Phil, may your family find some comfort in all the outpouring of love and well wishes to you all.
May God Bless you and Keep you in his Arms.

Capt. Phil was a real person. He was a wonderful father. He raised his sons to be hard workers. Even though they fought and argued like most siblings, they both tried hard to please their dad and make a living in a very difficult job. You could tell how much he cared about them by the way he reacted sometimes. They mattered to him the most. Like their father, both sons will do well especially when they remember his valuable life lessons. They had a great father and he will be a part of them always.
