well i didnt know Captain Phil Harris or any of the Captians or there kids families or crews but i do in the years that i have sat and watch there show Deadliest Catch , i felt a bond for they are truely the real deal. i was truely saddened when i heard Phil had past and sat and cried ,and i must say Captian Phil Harris you will be missed but never for gotten by me . God stoled another from us but left us such great memories of you and they will for ever be in our hearts along with watching your sons on your boat so i say rest in peace and god bless you .and may god watch over your boys and your friends from all the other boats take care Darlene

theres so much in the episode where phil and his son talked about his addiction that hit me very hard.i lost my father at 20yrs old to alcohol addiction.it was feb 14 of 1987.now im a father and my wife had a operation where the docs said she would never have children.i honestly praid to god for a twin of me son like me and my father.around 6 months later,she was pregnant,thank you god and he was born in nov of 96 and he looked so much like me that the nurse said i know where your son is i dont need your name when i went to see him,he was 4 weeks to early causing him to stop breathing sometimes.i became a addict myself in 2001 when i was put on pain meds after a operation,it led me to heroin when the doc stopped the pills after it was to late and i was addicted.so the late phil harris and his sons really hit me because my father was like phil,a down to earth good man whom had problems in his life,his son reached out to him and was gonna do meetings with his son.the lord has a funny way of taking good people away,while leaving scumbag rapist,molestors,crooks,i could go on.theres no goods that if they was gone no 1 would even care or know,then theres men and women like phil,whom do the right thing,work hard,love the family,and for what and why they are taken from us,ill never know.im scared to death because im a good man also,so i guess ill be one of the short life ones also.but ill not become something im not,too live a long life.to jake,get the help son and do the right thing for your dad,he is watching and still,loves you all,mike

Captain Phil was/is a one-of-a-kind. I still sigh and shake my head when I remember he’s gone now. I’m just grateful I got a chance to know him on Deadliest Catch, and I am comforted he is on film for me to continue to enjoy. He was the salt of the earth and he made my personal tough time a little bit easier through the show. America is going through such a tough time, and Capt. Phil epitomized the American commercial fisherman, and the American spirit!

Thank you, Morgan for keeping this site going. The Capt. Phil fan club still needs it, and probably always will. WE WILL NEVER FORGET CAPT. PHIL and the Cornelia Marie.

Captn Phil was our families favorite…still is. What a genuine, real deal guy… and funny..Man he was hilarious.
Our hearts go out to Josh and Jacob…anyone watching the show could see the love and pride he felt for those two boys.

Watched a replay of the memorial service, a fitting tribute to a great captain.Was pleased and slightly shocked to hear the poem “Do not stand at my grave and weep” as I had sent a copy of this to a tribute site specially for Captain Phil.I know others probably sent a copy of this poem as well , but it would be nice to think that it was my copy that was read out.I couldn’t get to the service in person as I live in England.Will never forget Captain Phil.R.I.P.
