Dear Phil,
My husband and I watch the Deadliest Catch faithfully. This is a true blue show and nothing else like it.
You have probably heard this so many times, but please take better care of yourself by not smoking. I am in the health care profession and smoking kills! I cringe when I see you and your sons and all the crews light up. We love you and want you in our lives. We sit on the edge of our sofa praying no one gets hurt or loses their lives. We want you to enjoy your life and live as long as God lets us. I know from what I read Heaven is a much better place, but darn we need you on earth to enjoy your boys and your family and friends.
So please stay healthy.

Best show on TV! I watch the rerun in the AM, then watch them again in the PM. I was in Vietnam and Laos four times, I retired with disability after 23 years as Police Lieutenant, and I would NOT set foot on your deck, unless it was to shake your hand. Captain Phil, please take care of your health, don’t make me come up there. Remember, you are a long time DEAD. We don’t want you to join your Dad, just yet. 50 or 60 years will be soon enough. Just want to let you know that my son and I love watching you and your crew on Deadliest Catch, as well as all the crews of the ships in the show…. When we seen the episode where your had difficulties my son turned to me and said I hope he will be alright and asked if we could ask Zeus and Posiedian to watch over you and the rest of the crew of the Cornelious Marie. Apparently They did and we are grateful for it. I hope we see you out on the Seas again knocking the piss out of those tasty crabs.
