It is as if I have lost someone I have known all my life. The show is one show I do not want to miss. I love to fish but can't even begain to know the courage and strength it takes to do that kind of fishing. My thoughts and prayers go out to Phils boys, Josh and Jake and their family. I was watching the show the night Phil was knocked out of his bunk and broke his ribs, that caused the blood clot to travel through his heart and longs. I thought we were going to lose him then, but he came through it. I know how proud he had to of been to know his boys would man the Cornelia Marie while he recovered. You could see the bond they had with their dad, even though they had their differences at times. You could always see the love they had for each other. I know the boys will continue to make their dad proud to carry on !! What the boys have learned from their dad is something that most boys have never shared. I was a deckhand on a boat who sold fish to him in Bristol Bay in 97'98'. We would get our perishables from his freezer each time we offloaded fish. I have been watching every episode of Deadliest Catch since it started,following his boat's tragedy's and triumphs. My heart goes out to his family. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Captain Phil.
