hey guys i watch the show all the time and im sorry for your losts but JAKE wtf dude. smoking weed in the wheel house come on man your dad would be turning in his grave. safty was the most inportant thing to your dad as long as his crew was safe he didnt care what went on. show your dad some more recspet then that dude your a good kid and weed is not the answer you will destory your life before its even begin and thats not what phil would have wanted

Hey guys – So sorry that you guys have lost your Father , Friend and Captain – i think the world over had grown to love the whole crew of the CM – you guys have to carry the torch now – you are todays heroes and tomorrows legends . fair play for the job you do – bravery has no boundaries with you , wishing you – all the crew safe fishing – its easy for us in tv land to see the cut and polished version for tv , but we could only grasp at imagining how tough it is to do your job .

I watching Deadliest Catch since the beginning. I can not believe that Phil paseed away. He was the best captain and best man. Rest in Peace Phil. You will be missed.

Watching your dad’s struggle was heartbreaking to me, as I lost my father 1-20-10. Just know your dad is in a better place where the pots always full. :)

I’m late to Deadliest Catch, only having recently watched all the seasons on Netflix.

Capt. Phil quickly became my favorite! He’s the one I’d want to fish with if I decided to hit the Bering Sea in an alternate universe.

What I loved so much about him was how tough he was, but how kind and sincere he was, too. It was obvious that he really “saw” everyone he met, that he never forgot he was dealing with real people, even in the most stressful situations. His love for fishing and for people was so clear. And I loved how he talked! I loved how he got right to the heart of a matter, in no uncertain terms.

I also very greatly admired his expectation that his sons earn their place on the boat, just like any other deckhand.

I echo the sentiment of another fan: I grieve for all of Capt. Phil’s family and friends. And I grieve for the fans, too. I feel like I lost a friend. He’s the kind of guy I wished had been a mentor to me.

Capt. Phil has taken a place among my life-long heroes.

Love to Capt. Phil, his sons, his father, the rest of his family, and all of his friends.

We miss you, Capt. Phil!!
