Cornelia Marie still fishing

While most of the “Deadliest Catch” boats have finished Opilio fishing, the Cornelia Marie is still at it. Everything has taken longer this season due to mechanical problems.
Cornelia herself just talked to the boat. She tells us the crew is fishing in the Bering Sea where, as you can imagine, it is extremely cold. Captain Phil is not at the helm this trip. Instead, Murray, the relief skipper, is in charge.
The F/V Cornelia Marie and her crew should be done with Opilio fishing around the end of March. The boat will then be tied up in Dutch Harbor. Herring tendering at Togiak, Alaska is scheduled to begin sometime around April 20th.

Awe Geese, sounds like Captain Phil may not be doing as well health wise, as we all wish for him. You can be sure he will be crabbing this season on Deadliest Catch. He is a very determined proud of himself man who has accomplished much in his life of working hard going to the edge. He has to push it just one more time. I understand or at least think, I do. Derek, I am also waiting for the Deadliest Catch TV season to begin. Miss all the guys as they are all terrific people.
Captain Phil, Could, I purchase a small bird house from you. It would be a real treasure for me to have one.

It’s very upsetting to hear he’s not fishing for Opilio. My prayers are still with Captain Phil. I hope we will see him on season 5. And not just on flashbacks.
I think he and his crew are the best out there. God Speed.

JUst a FYI for all the Fan’s of Captain Phil. If he is taking a blood thinner such as Coumadin. He needs to have frequent blood test to check his INR or in other words the amount of medication in his body at any given time. Another side effect of blood thinners is that you bruise very easy and if you get an cut it a pain in the but to stop the bleeding. Lastly his job with out the Red Bulls, Bad Chow, Smokes, Stress and sitting for hours and hours upon end most likley casused the blood clot or Embolism that almost killed him. Returning to the Helm full time will take time and what type of Embolism he had. I don’t what to sound down I just trying to tell pass along a little information.
The only person who can answer all our question is Capt. Phil himself.
Now on a diffrent note it sounds like you main engines on the old girl are giveing you trouble again. I know it’s a big check to stroke and I don’t know if you have the cash to do it but them Mains need to be turned into boat anchors or chopped up into tiny little trinkets to be sold as Key fobs to all his fan’s. An when you putting 2 new ones in her add some horse power so you not running up at the pins all the time

Hey Capt. Phil,
Hang in there. My mom is recovering from blood clots, too. Her doc only knew of 2 other people who survived as many as she did. She’s been on cumidin for nearly 4 years now with out any probs. You’ll get there. It just takes time. You’ll be in my thoughts…

As a viewer I’m sorry to see that Phil isn’t out there. Big thumbs up to Murray though. A loyal capable fill in will have his hands full. God’s speed Murray!
Anyway, all of the Deadliest catch boats have our hearts, and I like everyone of them, but Phil and the Cornelia Marie’s crew is my favorite. I don’t know what it is about Phil, but he just reminds me of my family big time. He’s got that blue-collar look to a highly volatile industry. Not afraid to say what’s on his mind. You gotta love him AND his crew. I don’t know what criteria Discovery used to pick the DC boats, but they did good.
Anyway, I’m at the mercy of “Tune in next week” like many others, and the catch line is “MAYDAY MAYDAY”. Damn it, I know it sells tickets, but my heart sinks every time I hear that. I’ve searched for 2 hours or more on Google looking for information on that. It seems it’s not a Deadliest Catch boat that was in trouble, but that doesn’t make it any less tragic. I hope to GOD when I see the next DC episode on Tuesday I don’t hear of anyone dying. =(
God speed to all that fish out there, and God bless.

Why do none of the boats use ROV to examine the bottom & pinpoint the crabs
so they don’t leave strings in empty areas + it would allow them to eval. the pots on the bottom & maybe choose
to leave pots down for extra times.
I also suffered a blood clot so I’ll pray for you.

It’s heaven or hell. Everybody is his own good luck charm. Phil’s health is his own responsibility. There are people who are fond of him and who could take his job over without taking over his merits. A boat is a boat is a boat that can be replaced (I know what I’m talking about). People cannot be replaced that easily.
Sorry I’m a german born dutch. We always know better than everybody else

Really that selling the engines by pieces idea is very clever. Don’t be shy auction them off and make a buck. Its not like you guys don’t work hard enough for the money.
Get better Phil, I had an embolism in my leg. I cant imagine what your family is going though. Your lucky to have the boys!

Hey nice site, simply looking round some sites, appears a fairly good platform you are using. I’m currently using Drupal for a few of my sites but seeking to switch one of them over to a platform very much like yours as a trial run.
