Capt. Phil Spotted in Gloucester Recently
Thanks to blogger, Capt Joe at GoodMorning Gloucester, we get to glimpse Phil in Gloucester meeting fans and signing merchandise. ‘After the Catch’ was just filmed in Gloucester in the last week or so and we’ll be seeing more of Capt Phil, the rest of the skippers, and some of the deckhands, starting on Tuesday, June 17th! Can’t wait!

(Courtesy goes to Capt Joe, and you can also view more of his Deadliest Catch photos)

He looks as handsome as always, and that smile goes on forever. Just hope he is keeping up his strength and eating correctly while on tour. He looks happy, that’s all that matters.

Here is The Sea Farmer II. Filming was done aboard the Sea Farmer II whose skipper Clark Sandler was one of the Gloucester fishermen who were chosen for the round table discussions for “After The Catch”.

Dude, I love your show! And yes, you look so healthy compared to when you’re out riding the Bering. Also, your hair always looks so dark, but in these pictures I can actually see your true color. Or is that some highlights? LOL! Either way, you look great!!! Stay safe, stay healthy and stay cool!!!

Hello Phil,
We are about same age and I too come frm a fishing family. My father and grandfathers fished the calif.coast and Alaskan salmon in Bristol bay.
Anyway fishing skipped my generation but my sons would love to. My father passes away four years ago from COPD. I watched him take his last breath, he was only 73. Don;t do that to your sons, quit smoking now, get your blood pressure down and get as heathy as you can before the next crab season.

Hey Phil, it’s simple…..take care of yourself man! I’ve worked in warehouses since I was 10 years old. I’ve had one vacation in my entire lifetime(almost 51). I feel your pain and your responsibility to your crew and your family. Seeing you in pain frightens me to the point where I want to live a b it on the easy side myself. The problem is that i’ve gone too far and I CAN’T get back. The term is WORKAHOLISM! TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Looking forward to seeing you and the crew next season. Good luck and God Bless.

Found a book that you might like. You do look really great. A very good-looking guy. That smile is 150 Watts! Keep Smiling! Are you going to be in the Seafair parade in Seattle at the end of July I know Sig is leading the show, but it would be fun if al of the Discovery tars were in there, too. How much fun would that be. We’d have to show up sleep on the curb overnight and we only live in Bellevue~ I’m amazed at the number of fans you all have. Hope you’re having a lot of fun with the whole thing.
Be fun to meet al of you. by the way, What ethnic stew pot do you come from? It sounds English-Irish.
Take care and kep up the good. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU! I can’t kep up with al the stuff on the Web Site. Will keep up on your progress.

Phil, Please keep yourself healthy! We watch Deadliest Catch all the time and love it! However, you need to be a model to all of the Captains to stop smoking (what is it about lung cancer you all don’t understand?)! We want to see you for many, many more seasons and also to keep both of your sons healthy too! We noticed you were not smoking on the “after the catch” last episode, but all the rest of them were, although it looked like Jonathan killed his smoke once you started talking about how you almost died. You see, you are already having an impact!
Remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away! Here is wishing you and the Cornelia Maria many more moments that take your breath away — the healthy way! We are pulling for you Phil, please take care of yourself!

I’m a 32 year old nurse and when I saw that show I had a sick feeling about what it was that was happening and I was a wreck watching that episode. Talk about a ticking time bomb! You were fortunate nothing happened in the time that you couldn’t get into that hospital-someone was watching over you Phil. Take care of yourself, your boys need you. I’m going to try to sound like a fisherman for a second: What the hell good are you to your kids if your dead?
All the love,
Marcia

We hope you’re all doing well, healthy (healthier) and happy. Loving the show – it is an “edge of our seat” experience and allows us land creatures an opportunity to live vicariously through your experiences! I have noticed all the anti-smoking references on the page and I (Marie, mother of Shannon and Matthias) find that anyone who makes condescending and obvious comments regarding the negative affects of smoking to these brave men should keep their comments to themselves. It is simply insulting and not necessary.
Cheers!

Cap’n Phil – Dude, you are the Dale Earnhart of crab fishing! And that nasty captain of the Wizard is the Kyle Bush-ick. We don’t miss a show. Love your attitude, frankness and how many ways you can use the F-word. As for the shots of Lovenox, I had to stick it to my hubby twice a day when he developed a blood clot. Hope you’ve got some honey helping you out. Anyway, he’s fine now. Takes and aspirin a day to keep the blood thin. So hang in there Phil. If you can’t make it for next season of the Catch, maybe they can just film you on the dock waitin’ for the boys to come back. Just so you participate somehow, cause we love ya man!

Hey, Phil, do what you gotta do man, and get better. You, along with all the DC guys, have had the unique opportunity to touch people’s lives just by sharing your own with them. Because of that, you have many people who care about you and your boys. Kinda makes you feel a little like Jimmy Stewart, huh? Thanks for all the fun so far, see ya soon
