Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. The F/V Cornelia Marie is in Dutch Harbor. We had to stop in for repairs We can’t head back out just yet because the weather here is bad.
Our mechanical problems have caused us to unfortunately extend our King Crab season. It’s been a longer than normal King Crab season for us, but hopefully it will be over with one more trip.
Tomorrow is an all day “Deadliest Catch” marathon on Discovery Channel. See you there.

Wow, I have to admit I’m really envious.. A Deadliest Catch marathon.. ;-)
I’m from Germany and for some reason they often repeat old episodes here – in the wrong order.. And they don’t even say of which season it is^^ The first 10 minutes it’s always about guessing what happened before and wondering why the hell you allready know what will happen next. And the synchronization is pretty annoying when you understand english, because sometimes you can hear the original voices in the background and then the german voice saying something different from it.. For example Jake calling Phil a “hottie with a naughty body” and the german voice saying something like “you look like a prurient whore, only in the wrong body” :D Poor people who have to translate the Harris family :D
It’s really time for me to buy the DVDs!
But okay – no more complaints ;-) I’m happy that they show it on german TV at all.. Really love the show and especially your crew!
Greetings and good luck for the next season!
Jenny
(Hey, it’s only my “school-english”, I guess it might sound a bit strange – over-correct but mistakes, though.. Who cares? ;-) )

Hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving! We loved watching the marathon today. Glad Phil seems to be doing alright. Can’t wait for the next season. I was obsessed with Deadliest Catch and the Cornelia Marie so much when I was pregnant that my husband teased me about naming her after the Cm. We did name her Teresa Marie but it’s our little joke…until now.

I have watched Deadliest Catch since it first started. It is my favorite show. I feel a little silly for writing this, because I am almost 40 yrs old, but Phil, you really have to take care of yourself. You have so many people that enjoy the show, that you are a part of, that you need to stay healthy so you can keep us entertained with the mission impossible that you guys do throughout crap season. I think the reason I enjoy watching the show so much is that it is pretty real, not like a tv drama, where there are characters played by actors (even though some of you guys are real “characters”) and if one of you is sick, your really sick. So I hope your better. I was a little worried. (Which is really weird sort of)
I admire the job that you do. I love the power of the ocean, there is just something inspiring about it. Not real big on crab though. I do like shrimp.
Any way. Hope your better .

Dear Phil, REALLY thrilled your back fishing. I’m 50 years old, blond, cute,(not beautiful anymore)
You’re my favorite! I have 3 sons, so I know what you go through. When they’re little, mommy &Daddy know everything.
Once they’re older and grown, we know NOTHING. Your boys are really nice, though and real good looking! I was in the medical
field for years, so I had a feeling, once you got a routine down with the meds and stabilized, you’d be back and raising hell,
just like I was after I had my surgeries. I bounced back in no time. I heard you rode. My husband and I love to ride. I use to
have my own bike, until the gear shift gunned and I smashed into a tree, 8 broken bones. I’m still ride, though. I’m pretty
fearless. I love fishing, on boats especially. I did it a lot, years ago. I don’t have my own boat yet, but
I’m going to get one before I croak. I still try to go on a boat when I get a chance. I love it! I love the ocean and swiming,
but what YOU guys do looks real tough. I don’t know how you do it so much. You deserve a medal for bravery and physical
stamina. Even though you developed clotting problems, that can happen to anyone who smokes, like I do. I haven’t had a problem
with that yet, but I’m disabled now frome third stage Lyme Disease. That means I’ve had it for years and it’d done a lot
of damage. It’ll take about a year or more to get better. Some days I can hardly walk, can’t eat, nothing. Getting older, stuff
starts to happen to your body. It’s not all your fault. Age and genetics and stress all take it’s toll.
I’d LOVE to meet you some time. I’m in love with you and the show! How can I find out when You’re in my area. I live in PA, near
Philadelphia. Some of you guys were in West Chester last Year and I missed it. I live right on the border
of West Chester. I was furious, but I didn’t have any way of knowing.
Well, I can’t wait until April to see the show again. I never miss one, if I can help it. Take care,
The Cornelia Marie Rocks!!!!
